Most Popular Grocery Store In Iowa Has Solar Eclipse Glasses

If you haven't heard, there is a solar eclipse happening this Monday, April 8th, 2024. This eclipse will be happening in the afternoon and many experts are trying to tell people how to stay safe during the eclipse.

One of the ways to make sure you and your family are safe during the solar eclipse will be by wearing solar eclipse glasses. They have been selling like hotcakes ahead of Monday's event but there is one place I know has them.

They might be sold out by the time you get to the store so be warned on that. Either way, make sure you have some protective eyewear if you plan to stare directly at the sun on Monday, which you definitely shouldn't do.

Are you ready for this to be over? Same. I've seen enough nonsense articles written about the eclipse on Monday that it's starting to ruin it for me. I was really looking forward to it but it's getting a little corny and annoying.

• Amount of Sun Covered: In the Quad Cities area, about 90% of the sun will be covered
• What Time: Starting around 2 p.m. CT and ending before 2:15 p.m. CT

Every time I've gone to the Quad Cities' most popular grocery store, I see a stand of solar eclipse glasses sitting on a display case. I keep thinking I should get some, but then I forget. This is my reminder to remind you.

 These may not be the price still and again, your Hy-Vee might be out of stock.

Whether you can get them at your local Hy-Vee or not, if you want to see the solar eclipse in a really cool way on Monday, make sure you have a pair of eclipse glasses. I'm not sure if they also work for 3D movies, but they sure look like they do.
