Girl Scout Cookie Season Is Here! These Are What Illinois & Iowa Load Up On
Valentines can wait. Girl Scout cookies can't.
Let's be real, we all justify buying a bunch of boxes of Girl Scout Cookies under the (true) argument of ~supporting young female entrepreneurs~ because girl power, right?
The Girl Scout cookies season has officially kicked off. You have plenty of opportunities to get your hands on boxes, whether it's online or at stands. Check out Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois for those deets.
I have my order in, but you may be trying to decide what you want this year. Delish has a list of every state's favorite Girl Scout cookies and really, both Illinois' and Iowa's are home runs.
Illinois likes Adventurefuls, which is a brownie-inspired national favorite. It's "indulgent brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel-flavored creme with a hint of sea salt".
Iowa likes Tagalongs. How can you not love those? They're "crispy cookies layered with peanut butter and covered in a chocolaty-coating".
What's interesting is that Thin Mints, the beloved cookie, were the favorite of only two states: Missouri and Vermont. Honestly, it's hard to find a bad Girl Scout cookie, they're all pretty tasty.
This is the last season you'll be able to get the Toast-Yay and S'mores cookies. Don't do those like the Raspberry Rally cookies mess in 2023, when those sold out quick on their last season then were resold for a ridiculous price.
And remember, if you need a reason to justify spending a chunk of money on cookies, the money really is helping young girls succeed.
