If you cannot stand the long airport security lines, Quad City International Airport has an event coming up you would be interested in.

A lot of Americans will likely fly home over Christmas. AAA says that at Thanksgiving, 4.5 million Americans were in the skies (I think I ran into half of them at the Atlanta airport then too). We know to get to the airports super early in case of an incredibly long security line. But you may not have to wait in that long line if you have TSA PreCheck.

The QC Airport is hosting a TSA PreCheck Enrollment Event on Dec. 12th-16th.

Enrollment only takes about 10 minutes and you'll likely get your Known Traveler number (that you plug in for PreCheck whenever you book flights) within 3-5 days.

You have to register in advance though and you can do that here. Just choose MLI as your appointment location and choose an appointment time.

In a release to WHBF, Ashleigh Davis, the QC Airport's Public Relations and Marketing Manager said:

Demand for travel is still extremely high coming out of the pandemic, so we thought it was an ideal time to bring TSA PreCheck enrollment directly to our passengers – especially as people start to consider spring break travel plans and beyond. TSA PreCheck is a great way to expedite what can be one of the more time-consuming aspects of the travel experience, especially as our passengers make their way back home from larger airports.

At the QC Airport, the enrollment site will be across from the Delta and United counters. The application fee due at the time of applying for PreCheck is $78 and it is good for 5 years.
