Illinois High School Named One Of The Most Expensive In The Nation

If you go the private school route, school can be expensive, especially for one school in Illinois.

I didn't have the luxury of a private school but my friends who did go to one seemingly got a good education out of it. And with getting into college being super competitive these days, having a good school on an application is highly important.

One school in Illinois costs more than some college tuitions could.

The Alot Education Publication recently looked at the Most Expensive High School In Every State for the 2023-2024 school year. For comparison, the average cost of private school in Illinois for 2024 is $9,287, according to Private School Review.

That's just slightly under what you would be paying at one Illinois private school.

The most expensive private school in Illinois is Brehm Preparatory School in Carbondale. Tuition is $86,346 for one year. Brehm is a boarding school for students with learning disabilities and they take a "holistic approach" to learning. They are a not-for-profit that has been working with students since 1982.
