Bettendorf Rotary’s Lobsterfest Is A Party You Have To Attend
Lobster and beef tenderloin all for a great cause? You literally couldn't sign me up faster. We had a winner on our station recently who said she was going to Lobsterfest in Bettendorf this Friday night. Befuddled, I went straight to the Google machine to give that a lookover and oh my goodness I'm in.
The thing I don't like is that it's been going on for 18 years and I'm just hearing about it now. But after talking to some friends and listeners about it, they all said the same thing, "It's a party you have to attend, Connor. It's so much fun and the food is amazing." Alright, twist my arm.
Lobsterfest is the Bettendorf Rotary Club's largest annual fundraiser. It makes sense since tickets are $100. But someone has to pay for all of those lobster tails and beef tenderloin. Plus, it's all to raise money to help others, support nonprofits, and fund initiatives in Bettendorf and throughout the Quad Cities.
Lobsterfest 2024
Bettendorf Rotary's 18th annual Lobsterfest is coming up this Friday, June 21st, 2024, at the Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf. The fun kicks off at 6 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m.
Tickets are $100 and that not only gets you in the door, but a 5 oz Maine lobster tail with a Veloute Sauce, 5 oz beef tenderloin with a Marsala Demi-glace, side dishes, and dessert. Hosted wine, canned beer, and soft drinks are available plus you can enjoy appetizers during happy hour.
There will be several high-dollar raffle prizes, a silent and live auction, and fun a cause will take place to end the night.
All of the proceeds go to the Bettendorf Rotary Club to help local projects that focus on helping youth, people with disabilities, veterans, low-income families, and the homeless.
Some of the things Lobsterfest helps support the Bettendorf Rotary Club do some incredible things including awarding seven college scholarships, creating and delivering Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to low-income families, and supporting the Quad Cities' Honor Flight with the Lobsterfest “Fund-A-Cause”.
