Illinois Man Claims He Really Did Shoot at a Bigfoot
As of this date, there is no evidence that anyone has ever captured or shot a Sasquatch, Bigfoot, Mo-Mo or whatever name you prefer to call the mythical creature that many claim inhabits our woods. There's one Illinois man who says that's not true. He says he really did shoot at a Bigfoot.
I came across this brand new share from Bigfoot Case Files on YouTube and she tells quite a tale. It's of a man in Illinois who was 19 years old and decided to go for a walk with his gun since he planned on doing some recreational shooting. She says that he was very comfortable in the backcountry and "had spent a lot of his young years in the forest" so he knew sounds that were common there.
On the day of this stroll with his rifle, he heard a sound that he knew was not typical for that area. He suddenly heard a scream that filled him with fear. This was no bear or bird or any creature he had ever encountered. He decided to flee back to his cabin. The shortest route back was through a field and he could hear running behind him.
It became obvious to him that whatever it was had followed him home as he could hear heavy breathing in the woods. He says he fired more than 150 shells in the direction of that breathing.
He didn't sleep at all that night afraid that whatever was outside would try to enter his home.
The next morning he went to the area in the woods where he had unloaded all those shells. He found trees with bullet marks where he had fired. He noticed what looked like bedding where some creature had hid when he began firing into the woods. What is smart enough to know how to evade gunfire by cloaking itself?
Not to be a critic, but I'd never fire a weapon into the woods unless I was 100% positive of what I was aiming at. Fortunately, there were no humans in the woods that night, but that still doesn't answer the question of what followed this Illinois man home that night.
Something odd definitely calls the Illinois woods home.
